I am a third-year Illustration student at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham; the drawings on this site will form the basis of my final major project at university.

The aim of these drawings is to capture the character of racing at Cheltenham from the viewpoint of the punter and spectator.

All the drawings are done at the racecourse during meetings. Everything is drawn from life although the imagination is occasionally required to fill in the gaps when my subject has disappeared from view!

I carry a sketchbook or two with me and store my assortment of pens and pencils in my 'artist's' fishing vest. Most of the drawings are done with Zig calligraphy pens and brush pens or fountain pen.

Original drawings are for sale. I have also made a series of Giclee prints of some of the drawings done before the Festival; soon I will be making a series of the drawings done at the Festival. I will link this site to an Etsy shop soon.
